A Note From Este!

Oink, Oink! It’s Me, Este, the World’s Happiest Pig!

Hello Friends, and Happy September!

I might not be the ranch matriarch, but I am the boss of my fellow piggy, Uma. If you haven’t met me yet, I am easy to spot because my tail is always wagging!!! I just love life and all my animal and human companions. I especially like it when guests come to meet me and give me lots of tummy scratches. My vet even says that Uma and I are the friendliest pigs he’s ever met! If you haven’t met me yet, please come on out and say, “Hi!”

We’ve been busy here at Press Paws since our last update from head honcho, Horns.

We hosted another lovely group of visitors for a cancer community retreat at the end of July, and we all had a blast at Movie Night in August! Thank you to all who came out to support us on a lovely summer evening. Folks who came early got some amazing time with me and the rest of my buddies!

I don’t really get this part, but I heard that people scored some great items from our raffle. Everyone enjoyed ‘National Velvet’, popcorn, candy, red velvet cupcakes and pizza pie! (but, no one shared these treats with me!)

I was also instructed to say,

Thank you to our Raffle Donors -

Stylist to the Stars - Glenn Nutley

Animal Communicator - Martha Grace

Fox Feed in Canyon Country

Nadia Cakes in Lancaster

Ceramics from the Clay Room in SF

Images Salon - Agua Dulce

Hello! It’s Robin now - Este is napping!

We are finishing up our second season doing a collaborative event with ‘Walk with Sally,” an amazing nonprofit that supports children who are facing cancer in a parent or caregiver. We will be doing animal and art therapy, meditation, and a community meal.

Learn more about Walk with Sally here: https://walkwithsally.org/

I would also like to highlight another amazing nonprofit that we have been partnering with:

Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA) is a non-profit organization that provides free psychosocial support to anyone impacted by cancer. CSCLA’s programs and services include support groups, individual counseling, healthy lifestyle classes, educational workshops, and child, teen, and family programs.

For more information, contact CSCLA at 310-314-2555 or info@cancersupportla.org.

Press Paws takes the winter months off to re-charge and plan events for the coming year. Please stay tuned for exciting events starting in March 2025! In the meantime, we are always happy to schedule private events or tours. Just reach out!

As always we are in need of your donations so that we can keep everyone healthy and support our free events for the cancer community.
