A Note From Bridget
Hello, it’s me Bridget - The Smart and Elusive
Hello People and Happy Almost Thanksgiving, (my people made me say that, I don’t really care about Thanksgiving).
I might not be the ranch matriarch, or the world’s happiest pig, but I am the one in charge of keeping everyone alive (yes, people, I mean you too)! I take my job very seriously, because someone has to, because Mel, well, you know Mel. (Making sure that Mel doesn’t get into too many shenanigans is actually more than a full-time job on its own!). I may seem unfriendly, I’m just not, ‘the get up in your face cuddly type’ like Mel!
BUT, if I do let you pet me, it’s A BIG DEAL!
Ok, now down to business. The humans have asked me (like I don’t do enough already), to tell you that our Season 2 was a smashing success! We hosted several amazing retreats for the cancer community and had fun at our movie night and goat yoga fundraisers.
We are now paused for the winter and busy making plans for an exciting Season 3! Please stay tuned for our event schedule coming in early 2025.
Volunteer Spotlight!
Jenn and Josie Sanchez
This amazing mother - daughter team comes out every Wednesday to feed the animals, give the animals love and attention, and, of course the most glamorous job of all, scoop poop! Josie is a fully committed Girl Scout, an animal lover, and an all around love. Josie is especially attached to the goat trio.
From mom Jenn - “I want Josie to know there’s more out there than our family and our dog. Other people and animals in the world need help too. Most places I came across don’t allow minors to volunteer, so we got lucky when we found Press Paws. And as an extra bonus, at the end of the year she’s able to apply for the Presidential Volunteer Award for Children. It also encourages her Girl Scout sisters to volunteer too.”
Remember, even though we don’t have any scheduled events for the next few months, we are happy to host tours and other private events, including photo shoots. We will also have our merch available for sale on-line. Merch makes a nice holiday gift!
As always we are in need of your donations so that we can keep everyone healthy and support our free events for the cancer community.
